Algerian LNG for Japan
Osaka Gas of Japan has taken delivery of the first 50,000 ton shipment ofAlgerian liquefied natural gas (LNG) under a spot contract with Algeria'sSonatrach to purchase 150,000 tons of Algerian LNG. According to reports fromJapan, the price of the LNG is less than that of LNG imported into Japan fromIndonesia and Brunei, and company sources are quoted as saying that they are nowstudying the possibility of signing a long-term contract...
