New Libyan Discovery for Wintershall
West Germany's Wintershall has announced that its B/1-96 well in northeasternLibya has encountered a new oil reservoir. Initial test flow from the well wasaround 2,000 b/d, MEES understands. The discovery is in the same basin as thenearby Jakhira field, and well logs and initial tests show "substantialreserves," according to Wintershall.
