Bahrain Government Purchases Kaiser's Equity Stake in Alba
The Bahraini Government has signed a preliminary agreement with KaiserAluminum of the US (Kaisertech Ltd.) to purchase its equity interest in AluminumBahrain (Alba) for a sum reportedly amounting to between $70mn and $75mn. Alba'scapital is owned 57.9% by the Bahrain Government, 20% by the Saudi BasicIndustries Corporation (SABIC), 17% by Kaiser Aluminum, and 5.1% by BretonInvestments of West Germany....
