KIO Doubles Stake in Midland Bank
The Kuwait Investment Office (KIO) has doubled its stake in the third largestBritish bank, Midland Bank plc, from 5.1% to 10.3% by purchasing a block of39mn shares sold by Hanson plc on 8 June for a price estimated at œ140mn by thelocal press.
