Bush Maintains Economic Sanctions Against Libya
US President George Bush has decided to maintain the three-year old economicsanctions and trade embargo against Libya. Mr. Bush said in a message toCongress on 19 July: "The policies and actions of the Government of Libyacontinue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national securityand foreign policy of the US.
