Iran and Soviet Union to Drill in Caspian
Iran and the Soviet Union will begin joint drilling for oil in the CaspianSea on 1 August, according to a report by the Soviet news agency Tass. Thereport states that the drilling site, some 17 miles off the Iranian port ofBandar Anzali, was identified by Soviet geophysicists.
