QGPC Plans $500mn Joint Venture Petrochemical Complex
The state-owned Qatar General Petroleum Corporation (QGPC) is planning toconstruct at Umm Said a new $500mn petrochemical complex with foreign partnersto utilize the gas output from the North Field Gas Project, whose first phase isexpected to come on stream in 1991 at a rate of 800mn cu. ft./day, according toa report in the European Chemical News (ECN) issue of 10 July.
