Turkey to Import 100,000 b/d of Crude Oil from Iran
According to a statement issued by the Turkish Petroleum Refinery Company (Tupras)on 17 August, an agreement has been reached between Turkey and Iran whereby theformer will import 5mn t/y (100,000 b/d) of Iranian crude oil as of 1 September.Payment for the crude, estimated at around $550-600mn, will be made throughexisting joint accounts of the Turkish and Iranian central banks.
