Japan Lends $96mn to Algeria
The Export Import Bank of Japan has lent 13,649mn ($91mn) to BanqueExterieure d'Algerie (BEA) for the purchase of Japanese goods and servicesrequired for a gasoline plant being constructed at Skikda, 450 kms. east ofAlgiers, by the state-owned Entreprise Nationale de Raffinage du Petrole (NAFTEC).The loan was signed on 21 August.
