Iran Pushes CIF Crude Sales
In the face of mounting term customer resistance against paying officialprices for liftings of Iranian crude oil, Iran is apparently embarking on adrive to boost CIF sales of its oil. Such supplies will be sold on a deliveredbasis from floating on onshore storage in or near major market areas. In thisconnection, the Iranians are reported to be actively pursuing the leasing ofstorage facilities in Western Europe, Japan and Singapore.
