Arab Banks Join Cyprus Deal
Three Arab banks have joined the top-tier of a $70mn multi-currencymedium-term loan for the Republic of Cyprus being arranged by Chase InvestmentBank. Alahli Bank of Kuwait, Gulf International Bank (GIB) and Libyan Arab Foreign Bank (LAFB) have come in at $7mn apiece, while Kuwaiti French Bank is alsoparticipating with $1mn.
