Eximbank Restores $200mn Short-Term Credit for Iraq
The US Export-Import Bank has agreed to restore short-term cover to the IraqiGovernment involving guarantees for up to $200mn of commercial bank and suppliercredit. Eximbank withdrew the cover to Iraq last year as the country fell intoarrears, but in May, after Iraq had cleared its arrears, Eximbank decided inprinciple to restore short-term cover.
