Egyptian Foreign Debt Service Totals E1.9bn this Year
According to a statement by Mr. Muhammad al-Razzaz, the Egyptian Minister ofFinance, on 28 December, Egypt's total foreign public debt service commitmentsduring the current fiscal year (ending 30 June 1988) are E1,919.3mn ($2.74bnat the official exchange rate), of which E727.3mn represent payment ofinterest and E1.192mn capital repayments.
