Oman Announces $655mn Deficit
The Sultanate of Oman is to run a RO252mn ($655mn) budget deficit in 1988,according to figures published in Muscat recently. Total spending this year isRO1,602.3mn ($4.17bn), which is marginally lower than the 1987 budget total ofRO1,610mn, while revenues are to increase by some RO15mn to reach R01,350.3mn($3.51bn) in 1988.
