Iran Plans Petrochemical Expenditures
Iran is to spend $1.8bn on petrochemical projects in the next five-year plan,according to Oil Minister Gholamreza Aghazadeh. Mr. Aghazadeh told a pressconference in Tehran on 16 January that the expenditure would allow the completion of 10 projects with a total annual output worth $950mn, and that theprojects are intended to meet all domestic petrochemical requirements as well asproducing a surplus for export.
