Egypt Receives $109mn in Japanese Aid
Japan has agreed to provide Egypt with a soft loan of $86mn as well as $23mn in grants. The soft loan, which will help finance the development of a thermal power station at Assiut in Upper Egypt, is part of Japan's assistance program for the power sector in Egypt.
