Six Vessels Hit as Shipping War Continues
Six vessels have been hit in the Gulf shipping war in the last week, withIran employing a variety of tactics to retaliate for Iraqi air strikes.
On 5 February the 20,961 dwt bulk carrier Iran Entekhab, owned by IranShipping Lines, was severely damaged by Iraqi aircraft in the northern Gulf some70 miles south of the port of Bushehr. According to some reports the vessel subsequently capsized.
