Clarification from Iran
MEES has received a telex from an official at the Iranian Oil Ministry to theeffect that Iran's Deputy Oil Minister, Mr. Kazempour Ardebili, would like topoint out that he was not responsible for the statements attributed to him bythe Saudi press agency in the item quoted in MEES of 18 January 1988, and that"the source of these statements was not correctly pinpointed."
