The Qatar Fertilizers Company (QAFCO) - owned 75% by the Qatar GeneralPetroleum Corporation (QGPC) and 25% by Norsk Hydro of Norway - is planning toconstruct a new ammonia unit at its chemical fertilizer complex at Umm Said witha capacity of 1,500 tons/day, estimated to cost over $200mn.
