Petrokemya's Polystyrene Unit Goes on Stream
The Arabian Petrochemical Company (Petrokemya) - a 100% owned subsidiary ofthe Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) - last month began production ofpolystyrene from its new plant at Jubail. The latter will produce 50,000tons/year of high impact polystyrene, 30,000 t/y of general purpose polystyreneand 20,000 t/y of expandable polystyrene, and more than half of the outputwill be marketed locally....
