Oman Reserves Stand at over 4bn Barrels at Beginning of 1988
Oman's crude oil reserves on 1 January 1988 reached a record level of 4.075bnbarrels, following an extensive three-year exploration program covering variousareas of the Petroleum Development Oman concession. Major discoveries weremade in southern Oman at Thamoud, al-Burj and Sadad, and in the north andcentral part of the country at Alam, Qarat al-Milh, Ramlat Rawl, and in theYibal Khuff structure.
