US Lends Morocco $40mn to Purchase Food Supplies
The US has agreed to extend a soft loan to Morocco worth $40mn to purchasefood supplies, according to an agreement signed in Rabat in late March. The loanis intended to enable Morocco to finance its agricultural imports from the USA,comprising 170,000 tons of wheat worth $20mn, 323,000 tons of vegetable oilsworth $16mn, and 16,000 tons of soya beans worth $4mn.
