Arab Aid Drops 27% in 1987
According to figures compiled by the Development Assistance Committee (DAC)of the OECD, Arab aid donors cut their net aid disbursements to developingcountries by 27% in 1987 to only $3.3bn. The DAC report notes that the size ofthe fall in Arab aid is exaggerated by an unusually high net disbursement bySaudi Arabia in 1986.
