NIC Plans to Build Steel Foundry
The National Industrialization Company (NIC) of Saudi Arabia announced lastweek plans to build to a SR117mn ($31mn) steel foundry in Dammam with a capacityof 12,000 tons/year of various steel products including motor industrycastings, water and sewage pipe fittings, valves, pumps and agriculturalequipment. Construction of the plant, which is scheduled to start in the firstquarter of 1989, will take two years to complete....
