Elf Aquitaine Relinquishes Offshore Concession
The French state-owned Elf Aquitaine has relinquished its operator role andequity in the 3,072 sq. kms. Gulf of Hammamet-Cap Bon permit. The US firmMurphy, a subsidiary of Ocean Drilling and Exploration, will now be in charge.Other shareholders in the offshore permit include: Semedan North Sea and Petrex,an Agip affiliate.
