Samba First Half Profits Tripled
Saudi American Bank (Samba) more than tripled its first half 1988 profits toSR121.3mn ($32.3mn) from SR39.7mn ($10.6mn) in first half 1987, according to therecently released unaudited results. The first half 1988 results, which comparevery favorably with the SR90mn profit for the whole of 1987, represent thestrongest signal yet that the long slide in Saudi bank profits may be coming toan end....
