Saudi Arabia and Britain Sign 10bn Arms Deal
Saudi Arabia and Britain on 3 July signed a memorandum of understanding foran arms deal worth some 10bn covering "the supply of aircraft andadditional equipment, construction projects and specialized naval vessels, inaddition to a positive offset program." The deal, which is Britain'sbiggest export order, will be a "significant enhancement to project al-Yamamah1," a $7.5bn aircraft deal initialed in September...
