QATAR
US Suspends Economic and Military Cooperation with Qatar
The US announced on 27 July that it had suspended military and economiccooperation with Qatar in protest against the latter's unauthorized acquisitionof US Stinger antiaircraft missiles. The missiles were apparently publiclydisplayed in Doha last March during a military parade celebrating Qatar'sNational Day.
