CBI Says Inflation Rate Drops To 22.5% In June
The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) announced on 12 July that the inflation rate fell to 22.5% in the Iranian month of Khordad, which ended on 20 June 2009, from 23.6 % in Ordibehesht (20 May) and 24.2% in Farvardin (19 April). The year-on-year rate fell to 14.5% on 20 June from 15.0% on 20 May. Economists have said that the declining inflation rate was partly due to a slowing economy as a result...
