Iraq Attacks Power Station on Caspian Coast
Iraqi air attacks last week took on a new dimension, with strikes on electricpower stations deep inside Iranian territory which have caused serious electricpower shortages. According to a military spokesman in Baghdad, Iraqi jets on 6December attacked the 1,960 megawatt Neka power station on the Caspian Seacoast, some 1,100 kms. from the Iraqi border and 200 kms. north of Tehran.
