South Yemen Invites Applications for Open Areas
The South Yemeni Government has declared certain onshore areas open forapplications for oil exploration. This open acreage lies outside the excludedarea in the Shabwa region to be explored by Technoexport of the USSR under theterms of the agreements concluded last December (MEES, 15 December 1986), aswell as the tracts held by the Braspetro Group and the Kuwait-owned IndependentPetroleum Group (IPG)....
