SOUTH YEMEN
USSR to Construct Second Phase of Haswah Power and Desalination Plant
The USSR is to construct the second stage of South Yemen's electric power anddesalination plant located at Haswah, near Aden, under a contract signedrecently by the South Yemeni Ministry of Energy and Minerals and Sovietofficials. The contract comes within the framework of the economic cooperationagreement concluded between the two countries in January 1985.
