Arlabank Profits Decline again
Profitability at the Bahrain-based Arlabank International fell once again, by21% to $10.5bn last year, after a modest recovery in 1985. Loan loss provisionsincreased from $5.8mn to $9.0mn, and the bank's loan portfolio, which isdominated by Latin America debt, shrank 2.5% from $1,184.3mn to $1,154.9mn.Total assets declined from $1.7bn to $1,653.7mn.
