Iraq Appoints New Minister of Light Industries
A Presidential Decree was issued in Baghdad on 23 February appointing Mr.Hatim 'Abd alRashid as the new Minister of Light Industries in succession to theprevious Minister, Mr. Tariq Hamad al-'Abd Allah, who died in Baghdad on 18December.
The new Minister, aged 47, is a well-known Arab industrialist who holds thepost of Director General of the Baghdad-based Arab Organization for IndustrialDevelopment (AOID).
