Japan Grants $9.4mn to Sudan and Somalia
Letters of understanding were signed in Khartoum on 10 February under whichJapan has agreed to grant Sudan $7.4mn for the purchase of fertilizers,chemicals and machinery. Japan has also agreed to grant Somalia around $2mn topurchase equipment for road construction, according to a statement issued inTokyo last week.
