Turkey Discusses LNG Purchase
Turkey has apparently initiated discussions with Algeria on the long-term purchase of Algerian liquefied natural gas (LNG). The head of the Turkish state pipeline authority Botas, Mr. Nezihi Berkkam, said in a press interview on 1 April that Turkey had decided to build an LNG import terminal on the coast west of Istanbul to connect with a pipeline network now being built for supplies of gas from Russia, and that discussions with Algeria on an LNG...
