Two Kuwaiti Banks Report Improved Earnings, withhold Cash Dividend
Two Kuwaiti commercial banks have released 1986 figures which show an improvement in earnings, although in both cases a cash dividend has been withheld in favor of scrip issues. Alahli Bank of Kuwait, which ranks as the fourth- largest bank in the country, declared net profits for the year of KD4.51mn ($15.6mn), 15% higher than in 1985 but still less than half the level in 1984....
