Bank of England Estimates $27bn OPEC Deficit for Q1-Q3 1986
The latest estimates by the Bank of England, as published in the February 1987 issue of its Quarterly Bulletin, suggest that during the first nine months of 1986 OPEC countries sustained a $27.1bn current account deficit. The Bank of England also identifies a $17.4bn fall in OPEC foreign assets during the same period, with the major portion of this decline being felt in the OPEC...
