Japanese Producers Hard hit by Falling Prices and Dollar
Falling oil prices, coupled with a decline in the value of the dollar against the yen, mean that relatively modest declines in sales volumes over the period 1984-86 translate into disproportionately high drops (in yen terms) in sales revenues and profits for two Japanese groups operating in the Middle East, Arabian Oil and the Abu Dhabi Oil Company (ADOCO).
