Burgan and Commercial Bank of Kuwait Profitable again
Two more banks in Kuwait have reported improved profitability, with the state-controlled Burgan Bank and Commercial Bank of Kuwait registering profits of KD5.1mn and KD3.2mn respectively after declaring zero income in 1985. Burgan Bank's profits reflect its pre-1985 pattern, when it recorded profits around the KD5mn level in 1983 and 1984, and it was able to increase its bonus share issue...
