Dubai Drydock Registers Marked Increase in Repair Work in 1986
The Dubai Drydock Company registered 22% increase in repair tonnage in 1986 as compared to 1985. The drydock carried out repairs on 152 vessels totaling 13.5mn dwt compared to 11.1mn dwt in 1985. Much of the growth in business was evidently attributable to the impact on shipping of the Gulf war.
