Kuwait's KPC Buys Soviet Service Stations in UK
The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has further expanded its distribution interests in Britain with the purchase of 53 gasoline service stations owned by the Soviet oil trading arm Nafta. The takeover of the Nafta properties by KPC took effect on 1 May, and the Nafta staff will be transferred to KPC (to the offices of Ultramar's Golden Eagle UK marketing operations which were acquired by KPC last March - MEES, 9 March).
