Gas Production to Rise 76.2% in Coming Five Years
Egypt is planning to raise its output of gas by 76.2% from the current level of about 21mn cu. ms./day (735mn cu. ft./day) to 37mn cu. ms./day (1,295mn cu. ft./day) by the end of the 1987/88-1991/92 five-year plan which starts next month. The current output is supplying gas to 16 electric power stations and 34 plants for the manufacture of fertilizers, construction material, metal products and textiles, in addition to domestic use....
