Shabwa Oil Trucked to Aden Refinery
The South Yemen oil authorities have started trucking approximately 5,000-10,000 b/d of crude oil from the newly discovered fields in the Shabwa bloc to the Aden refinery. Around 40 to 50 trucks are being employed in the operation with plans to add 10 more trucks every week. Eventually it is planned to use around 250 trucks carrying 20,000-25,000 b/d, MEES understands. South Yemen's domestic consumption is about 15,000 b/d.
