Ecuador Claims OPEC Quota of 320,000 b/d
In a statement in Quito on 1 July, Ecuador's Deputy Energy Minister Fernandos Santos said that, at their recent conference in Vienna, OPEC Ministers had agreed to allow Ecuador a new quota of 320,000 b/d to compensate for the country's oil output losses as a result of the earthquake which disrupted the export pipeline system last March.
(Ecuador's actual quota under the OPEC schedule for the second half of 1987 is 221,000...
