IBRD Lends Jordan $96.4mn
The World Bank has approved loans for two projects in Jordan: $70mn for the expansion of the steam power plant at 'Aqaba by adding two 130-megawatt units, initially using heavy fuel oil, with provision for future coal firing; and $26.4mn to help provide low-cost housing, urban infrastructure, and social services to low income families in slum and squatter areas.
