Tarek Discovery Yields 33mn cu. ft. of Gas a Day
The Tarek discovery made earlier this year (MEES, 18 May) by Khalda Petroleum, owned 50% by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and 50% by Texas International and Conoco (operator), in the eastern part of the Khalda concession has tested at a rate of 33.1mn cu. ft./day of gas and 2,511 b/d of condensate from a depth of about 13,000 ft., according to a recent issue of the EGPC's monthly magazine al-Bitrul.
