AMPTC Registers a Net Loss of $8.9bn in 1986
The OAPEC-sponsored Arab Maritime Petroleum Transport Company (AMPTC), which was set up in 1973 with an issued capital of $500mn and is owned by Qatar, Kuwait, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the UAE, Algeria and Bahrain, registered a net loss, after depreciation, of $8,893,308 in 1986, a dramatic improvement from the $97,288,992 loss registered in 1985, according to the company's Annual Report, which has just been released.
