Arab Companies to Provide Insurance Cover for AFPTC Vessels
At a meeting held in Kuwait on 16 September, representatives of 32 Arab insurance firms from eight Arab states (Kuwait, Algeria, Bahrain, Iraq, Libya, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE), agreed to provide the necessary insurance cover in 1988 for the fleet of the OAPEC sponsored Arab Maritime Petroleum Transport Company QUMPTC). AMPTC's fleet comprises three oil tankers and two LPG carriers.
