Assiut Refinery to Go on Stream in November
Nasr Petroleum Company's Assiut refinery in Upper Egypt is scheduled to go on stream next month at a throughput of 2.5mn tons/year (50,000 b/d). ENPPI and Petrojet both of which are subsidiaries of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) were involved in the design and construction work, and Bechtel of the US had a management contract for the construction. Crude oil for the refinery will be supplied via a 20/22-inch, 340-km....
